Well November is coming to a close.
I have several gifts that really need to get finished up. I am also greatful that I have my projects lined up for after the Christmas rush. I also am working on a hat and scarf for a secret pal! This is my first exchange that I have done. It is great to go to the blog and see what others are making, writing, and yes already finishing up!
I am off to the couch to sit and knit. The tree is up and decorated! My shopping is almost complete. My girls are really enjoying wrapping! I taped the boxes really well. Will try and post more often this week.

Well this is new for me. I have been a very non blogger for over a week! I think that the holidays do that to me.
I am still plugging away on the mittens. I think I will make them in the round from now on. I have been working on a scarf for a friend and it is almost finished.
I am really wanting to do more hats but I have to much going on at the house like the holidays coming up and all the shopping that needs to be done.
I think the one thing that would make my holidays would be to have another family need me to take care of there children. The family that I am watching right now they are moving to Wyoming in December and that means that I am out of WORK!! I am really in a funk...I have tended children since I had My oldest 18 years ago. If anyone reading this wants to pass my name on to anyone in need please feel free. I would greatly appreciate it.
Okay now this is suppose to be a knitting blog well... I think that after the holidays I am going to start a clan sweater for my Irish background! Flaherty I think that it use to have an O in front of it. I really don't see why it was dropped one letter does not make that much of a difference in length. My sister Sheila is getting the pattern and we will get through this project together....It might take a year to do it. You can check it out at the web site provided://www.clanarans.com/ca/catalog/ and plug in Flaherty in the clan search.

I think I have a thing for updating on Fridays.
I have finished 2 pairs of felted slippers wow in one week! I used Mauch Chunky yarn
Wow was I surprised at how wonderfully it felted. I think its my favorite, not as much shedding as the leading Brown Sheep and they also have some great colors. I bought mine at Colorful Yarns in Littleton for $6.00 . Give it a try! My mitten project is going well I will post on Sunday new pictures.
My family thinks that they have lost me to knitting.....I have to get these projects done for Christmas.... Let me know if anyone wants to meet for knitting.
Countdown to Christmas is 43 days!!

Let me tell you all....My hands have been very busy this week! I have 1 slipper ready for the second sole the other one is being worked.
I also have been working on those cute mittens. I am doing some color change on one of them I hope that it is right because this is the first thing that I have done that tells you to carry the yarn. The other set that I am working on I am ready to start the decreases on the top of the fingers. These mittens are fast but I think that they would be even faster on circular needles. I think that I will try and make another pair and see if they work.
A few of us gals are getting together tomorrow at Tattered Cover if anyone wants to join us. We are going to meet at 5:00 or a little after.
